The Search for boxes has begun....

So in anticipation of the upcoming move I have began to look for boxes to use. The last time i moved it was from one apartment to another in the same building. So I used things like laundry baskets and milk crates to haul my items up and down the stairs. So far I have managed to collect a good 15 boxes to use. All are sturdy and a good size, I will need to find more but for now its a good start. I will probably be able to get more from some people at work too.

I figure that I will start packing up soon so that its not a last minute rush, it doesnt seem like a lot of stuff but I know very well that when you move its like its never ending lol. With that and the cleaning I will have enough to keep myself busy as well as anyone else that is helping.

Im just surprised I was able to fit all those boxes in my car lol

Does this guy even hear what he is saying??

Ever been in or heard a conversation where one person is talking about something as if they are an expert. However you and everybody around this person are all wondering how somebody so idiotic functions on a daily basis?

My instant reaction is annoyance, simply because I am hearing the most assinign (sp?) drivel and this dumbass thinks that it isnt only right but fact. All the while the group of listeners are throwing the standard "What a moron..." look sometimes accompanied by the single raised eyebrow for more of a dramatic effect. Everyone wants to say something, but its like their brains are vapor locked, too busy trying to process the bullshit that is coming in and make sense of it all.

My brother
had picked out some new furniture, nice stuff very comfy. Nothing like a nice comfy couch to crash on, you almost look forward to it I know I do. Things are moving along with the house nicely, forms are being filled and mailed, and plans are being made. So far so good.

I also will be returning to work tomorrow after my 2 week holiday, which i enjoyed. I am kind of looking forward to getting back to work, something to do during the day and now that summer is wrapping up we will be preparing for the return of the students. All the projects are wrapping up too which is a welcome relief as far as I am concerned. Well that is about all for now, you may return to your regularly scheduled program already in progress.

Old days of wwf

I was watching some of the new WWE wrestling and the stupidity that exists in it. I started to wonder what happened to the good ole days of the cheesey non-sexual storylines? Days where Hulk Hogan, Rick Rude, Ted Dibiase, Bret Hart (personal fav), Mr. Perfect, and Jake the Snake Roberts ruled? I miss those days. Dont get me wrong I like t&a as much as the next red blooded male. But the superstars have lost that larger than life personas that I loved so much as a child.

I am currently locked in my apartment. The doorknob on the inside just spins around, I think the pin has broken. I called my landlord and recieved a "I will come when i can" response. I can use a butterknife to open the door from the inside. But If I leave and the same thing happens to the outside knob im screwed. Hopefully soon.

Another reason I cant wait to get out of this apartment. I mentioned that I was looking for a house (not mentioning I have found one) and his demeanor changed fast. Almost like he was insulted, haha maybe disappointed that my money wont buy him another car. Suck it up princess, im outta here.

Fo' shizzle.

Wow I have a house!!

Heres the story..

So today my Dad was coming to town to look at a house with me that had come onto the market. We met the realtor and went in for a look, man it was brutal. Would have had to nearly gut the basement and the flooring upstairs. We went back to the realtors office to see if there were any other homes on the market as Dad was only here to look for the day. He gave us an address for one house out of our price range, but we decided to look at it anyways sans realtor.

We drove by it but it was small and too pricey, we continued down the street a ways looking at the houses with the real estate company's signs on the lawns. After passing a few, i saw one and decided to call the number. Not that there was anything special about the house, but I figured why not. Nice area.

We called and had an appointment to view it, as I walked inside I couldnt believe it this house was immaculate and looked freshly renovated. Completed basement, 2 bathrooms (1up and 1 down) and 2 bedrooms up with 1 down and enough room to add another bedroom. Man and we got a good deal. We went back to the realtors office and finalized our offer. Then we waited to see if they accepted. 2 hours later the deal is done.

Nothing fancy just your standard house, but man the inside has to be seen to be believed. I wont post pics of the inside obv, dont need you perverts seeing my private sanctuary lol j/k

Busy day. I will be glad to get out of this apartment building once and for all, away from the psycho neighbors, the train tracks 60ft away from my window, and having my own yard and deck to relax on. My own driveway to park my car in, ahh greatness.

Anyways thats all for now, news to follow as it develops.

Signing out.

Still Alive, still kicking, back off man im on vacation.

So week 1 of operation "lay around the house and play video games" is a success. Looking forward to week 2, this will contain more of the same. At first it was strange being home but ive definately become used to it.

I have purchased a small r/c helicopter from the Source but Circuit City (aka Radioshack Canada), its indoor and sits in the palm of my hand. It is very cool, i was flying around the apartment but had a small crash and damaged one of the blades on it. I did a repair job and I will see how well it works. Definately seems stronger than before.

Man its really crazy to think about all the things that are out now, when i was a kid I never thought of having a r/c copter. Especially a micro one, people might laugh when i buy this stuff but hey you only live once and Im just a big kid at heart. Sure im technically an adult but find me one adult who doesnt wish they could be a kid one more time, im living the dream my friends.

Taco Time, seemed like a good decision at the time..

Man i was so hungry last night and decided to go out and grab something to eat. Taco Time was the choice and I have stayed away from it since it first opened here. Just from what people said about the quality of the food. But I mean its fast food tacos, we arent talking about straignt from mexico here.

Anyways, Val said they were better than before and so we got some. Granted they were pretty decent, but the aftereffects were not. Ill just leave it at that, i dont think ill be going back there for a while (if ever lol).

So im on holidays for the next couple weeks and I already starting to go stir crazy. Im so used to running around like a crazy person that sitting with nothing but time on my hands is slowly driving me crazy.

I cant see how the elderly people can stand it. Maybe I just need a routine, wake up and go to the bank, walk around for a bit carrying a mystery bag with me the whole time, go to the store and buy some bran flakes and prune juice, and then hit the VLTs. Hmm that would kill some time, but if i do that now what do I do when I am elderly?

This car....is CLEAN!

Well after deciding to pass on the "good deal" of a $350 car clean at a local car wash I decided to go the do-it-yourself route and hit up the local Walmart. After purchasing $50 worth of cleaning supplies I picked up my mom's vaccuum and got to work. After cleaning the small piles of gravel left by my floor mats I proceeded to shampoo, polish, clean, wipe, etc the interior of the car. Once I completed that and the tire care I was officially done, 8hrs of cleaning behind me the car is as clean as the day it came off the lot. The time might seem a bit crazy, and the car wasnt a complete trash pit, but I take car of my vehicle and pride in its condition.

Needless to say, I woke up this morning SORE AS HELL. Im still aching, but that is the price I pay and i saved myself $300 in the process. Not a bad deal at all.

I will be returning home tomorrow, Im not too sure what I will be doing really. I might even decide to stay one more day here. I mean I will just be sitting around the apartment bored out of my tree. I know that my girlfriend wants me home yesterday, so i dont know if she would like me staying longer. But it seems like I just got here, and its very relaxing to get away from it all.

As a final note I would like to say that the Armor All Tire Gel is great and my tires have never been so glossy and black. The stuff rocks and I highly recommend it.

Man what a drive

Hard to believe all the farm machinery I seem to pass when i travel home, now my focus is pretty peppy but passing isnt quite a strong point. Although nobody can hold me back on the downhill slopes, if I catch you on a downhill drive prepare to be passed!

So I made it back to Wilkie. It is strange coming home as everytime i do I see kids I remember in grade 2 getting ready to graduate and it is an odd feeling. I am getting older, mid 20s isnt too bad but I can only imagine in a few years when these kids are getting married and Im at the wedding.

When i get into town the first thing I do is a lap around town, it is like an old habit. Of course it takes all of 5 mins to do but I remember driving around town all the time after I got my license. I would get off work at the local convienence (I can never spell that word) store and drive around for an hour blasting my music and enjoying that sense of freedom. Everyone remembers when they first got their license and the freedom it gave them. Me and the "love wagon" as people called it for some reason. Ah the 1989 ford escort hatchback, i wish i took some pictures of it I enjoyed driving it for the 5 or so years. Maybe its the nostolgia but man that car rocked. I would clean it every week and touch up the paint around the fenders every spring haha. Sure there was a little rust, but after the touch up it was as good as new. It was my baby.

I still remember when i purchased my 2002 focus zx3, it was a great day but i couldnt help feel a little sad about the escort being sold. But it was time for it to be retired as I like to see it and I feel the times we had together will always be remembered. Why do people get so attached to cars? Well like the saying goes you always remember your first.

Never fear there are still plenty of experiences had with my current car, including learning how to drive it. Never had a manual transmission before and I learned how to drive it on this car! New car + no idea how to drive it = fun and games. But that is for another time I suppose.

Long Weekend, Computer rebuild, lack of sleep

Alive and kicking, barely. Im currently awaiting the arrival of my Tim Hortons fix, for the record frosted cinnamon rolls rule all.

So the Canada Day weekend went by, cant believe it is July already. We are on the home stretch for fall and winter all over again, great. Anyways I reimaged my computer and things are working so much better. Other than that my weekend was pretty quiet, just had time to relax and do whatever. Played some games, watched some movies, sat around outside enjoying the weather. Of course not wanting to miss a moment of it resulted in late nights and early mornings, but overall I think it was worth it. To get a whole long weekend full of sunny days is pretty rare and you have to enjoy it.

Of course there are certain individuals wearing tight shorts and tank tops that really shouldnt be, its kind of like passing by an accident you just have to stop and look.
