Update! Breaking news!

Sorry about the delay again, it was a crazy week. I will try to get on this more regularly to post some updates, its like a memory lane for me haha Anyways here you are:

So the weekend is over and here I am back at work. No worries I am on a lull right now so have a few to start this up, I will just add on periodically through the day when I have a few. So the painting is now at about 98% completion downstairs. We finished the walls and baseboards/door trim, and I patched the nail holes with that filling putty once they were installed. Now all that is left is the inside door jams and the touching up over the filled nail holes. I will probably do that today, it shouldn’t take too long as by this point I have the technique down to a science.

I will also be adding the winter touches to the windows and such in prep for the winter, good ole winter. I’m still not even close to adjusted to the lack of sunlight in the mornings, it stays dark forever now. The time change on the weekend should help that out at least, of course it will get darker in the evening that much sooner. Not really sure which I would rather have, more sun in the morning or in the evening. I guess morning doesn’t matter since I cant really enjoy it.

So yesterday I basically lounged around and relaxed, it was nice to just sit for a little while. I played some games and surfed the net, man November is going to be crazy there are 3 or 4 games that I want to pick up not to mention the new Nintendo system is coming out too! I’m waiting to see what games come out and see what they are like though, I might see if I can rent the system first and give it a shot. Its controller is totally wireless and motion sensing, so for example in a tennis game you swing the controller to make your character swing their racket. Very interesting and sounds fun, but it seems like a trick into getting exercise and I don’t know many self respecting gamers will be having any of that.

See what happens when you are in a hurry?

So I am leaving work today and out of the corner of my eye I noticed some cop car lights. I think some moron must have got pulled over for speeding again. As I turn I notice that there was an accident. A purolator truck (UPS Truck canadian style) had hit a small suv maybe a gmc jimmy. The jimmy was on its side (drivers side against the pavement) and was leaning on a ford explorer. The explorer looked like it was sitting at the stop sign waiting to turn.

From what I could gather, the jimmy blew a stop sign trying to get across the street before the purolator truck got to the intersection. The purolator vehicle struck the small SUV flipping it over onto the explorer that was waiting to turn onto the street the delivery truck was heading down. Wrong place at the wrong time for him I guess.

Everyone was ok which is the most important thing as a vehicle can be replaced. However i cant help but shake my head knowing that the girl in the jimmy was more than likely either not paying attention or was too impatient to wait for the delivery truck and traffic to clear before proceeding across the street. She is lucky nobody was killed as it would be on her.

People take things for granted, its sad that we live in a society of rushing around. Maybe she will learn her lesson, however I dont think she will. People never seem to learn.

One day late but the quality just keeps on comin

I typed this yesterday but didnt get a chance to post it, however I do not wish to disappoint so without further adieu...

I’m dreaming of a brown Christmas…

I only wish, today the snow fell again and this time it’s starting to remain on the grass and such. Fortunately the temperatures are supposed to stay above the 0 mark (Celsius) so it should melt away. Personally in my lifetime I have seen enough snow that I really don’t want to deal with it anymore. I don’t ski, snowboard, or skidoo, but I do freeze, get sick, get to drive in poor road conditions and scrape my windshield. Oh and shovel the driveway and de-ice the sidewalk so I don’t slip and crack my skull open. I don’t see an upside, but when it comes to winter I am far from being an optimist.

Friday is here and it’s been a long, loooong week. Maybe it’s from the week before being a short one, maybe because I can’t seem to get a good nights rest. I should be going to bed earlier anyways, most of the time i’m playing on my computer or something like that. World of Warcraft can keep me up as well, although the stress and frustration I receive from playing is not worth it. It almost seems masochistic in nature, it’s the abusive partner of online games and I keep coming back for more. Mainly because my girlfriend plays however she is so preoccupied with what she is doing with the game that playtime with us together seems limited. Maybe that is part of the stress factor, ya it is.

So the birthday dinner was pretty good, I like to dine out once in a while. Go somewhere nice, sit and enjoy a decent meal which I did and when it was all said and done I left satisfied, full and only paid $5 haha. Definitely a good thing for the old wallet and the bank account it represents.

If decided what I will do for my g/f x-mas present this year, I have booked an appointment to get a car starter put into her car in a couple weeks. I know it’s a little early but with this gift the sooner the better, I would never want to go back to a car without a car starter. I guess it was nicer when I lived in the apartment as I had a good distance to walk to the car and once started I wasn’t going to leave and let it out of my sight. Now with the house its right by the door, but nonetheless I still don’t have to go outside to fire it up. Plus it’s handy for when i’m leaving work.

This weekend will be another paint weekend, folks are coming down and we will finish the hallway and stairwell. They should be here tonight and do the work tomorrow. Can’t wait for the painting to be done, I just want a weekend to do things I want instead of painting baseboards for 5 hours lol.

Excelsior!

Its my birthday, my b-b-birthday

Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday to me!

Wow the big 24 how crazy is that? It seems like yesterday I just turned 16 and was getting ready to get my license. So far it has been a good run so here’s looking forward to another great 24 years!

So last night I was talking with my girlfriend and she was telling me about how one of her relatives went to see a psychic and supposedly this person is pretty accurate. A part of me wants to just discount it as a hoax and file it in the “ya right, whatever” file. But then a part of me is interested, I mean I don’t know anyone who isn’t a little curious about the future and what might happen. I mean to take a peak into time and see what's in store is very intriguing. I do believe that there are people that possess certain abilities above and beyond what some might call “normal” and what some people find difficult to believe. I might even consider going but there is a lot to be said about the power of suggestion. If you believe what that person says will happen, subconsciously I think you will do what it takes to make it happen. If they say you will be unhappy at your job in 2 months and quit, how can you not think about it and maybe begin searching for reasons to be unhappy? Stuff like that. Unless its one of those general ones where its like “you will fall in love this year.” Anything is possible, maybe I will just ask for the lotto numbers. Might as well go big with this one. All joking aside I do believe there is legit gifted people out there its hard to get over the barricade in my mind that its all “phoney”

So I came into work today and seen that my cubicle was decorated with balloons and the like. Plus there is a day every year where the place where I work and all offices related to it across the country have a day to thank their customers and such. That happens to be today, now I am new but I really do appreciate the fact that my birthday is being so widely celebrated. It should be shared with everyone and on that note have a great day everyone! I know I will!

I won? Serious?

Man I’m not sure how time seems to move so slow at the moment but looking back how fast it really went. I mean it’s already the middle of October! Plus my birthday is coming up this week as well, being a late year baby kind of sucks in the way that you are always the last for everything. You are the youngest in your class (well unless you got held back anyways); last to get your license, last to get into the bar legally. I guess it could be worse, if I had my b-day around x-mas I would be depressed. Unless you come from a well to do family your birthday presents get mysteriously added to your x-mas gifts. But we all know that that is a falsehood there are no bonus gifts above the Christmas presents. I wonder what kind of card you would get, Merry Christmas or Happy Birthday? I don’t think there is a combo for that.

Well its getting cold and thankfully that is it at the moment. No actual snow falling just yet and i'm keeping hope alive that there won’t be for a long time. The weekend went by in a flash, mostly due to gaming and it still feels like I didn’t get enough in lol. I just love to play video games it’s just too fun. Speaking of fun, my girlfriend and I are going to a local concert thing tonight, it’s the Canadian Tenors. No rock and roll here folks. All jokes aside it should be fun, dressing up and going out to do something different. I also won 2 tickets to this big magic show thing at the theatre next week so we will be going to that, I’m looking forward to that too. Its nice to do something different once in a while, oh and I also have a $40 certificate to a local restaurant (think olive garden not Rotten Ronnie’s aka McDonalds) so we will probably go out sometime this week for a good meal as well. Life is good when you are on a roll haha.

Favourite Pizza at the moment: Chicken Deluxe with bacon. Awesometastic lemme tell ya.

P.S. Guess how many spelling and grammar errors Word thinks there are in this post? Somebody has to come out with a net speak update.

Wow busy weekend

So first things first this weekend went way to fast and I believe strongly that mondays should become a mandatory day off with little to no impact on the workload for the upcoming week. Even every second monday would be acceptable.

So this was a busy weekend, and at the end of it I have accumulated several new items at my house. First was the electric fireplace that was on sale at Canadian Tire (think Canadian Walmart for visitors from south of the border), a corner style one with an oak finish. Really nice and right at home in the corner of my bedroom, it should be nice in the winter as well as the heater works really well. I would have preferred one in the living room but there isnt much room.

Also went to walmart for a sale and got some dvds and a 20" flat screen tv for the bedroom so that is pretty cool. We will have a dvd player in there eventually so for the time being i just have my ps2 attached to it. It is a no name brand tv, cant remember the name but it does the job.

Finally I have a new addition to the household, well 2 actually. I got a mini flop rabbit haha, after I got it home mike went and got a mini rex. Both are very cute and cuddly, oh and like to explore lol it is funny to watch. I had a rabbit a few years ago and when I seen these I wanted one immediately. A little more than a hampster that is for sure, I guess I will pass on getting a hedgehog.

I attempted to take my truck out today with the newly installed parts and see how it ran, unfortunately I will need to do some more tuning which I will try to do tomorrow. It was really windy today and a cold wind at that, and since tuning on a rough surface like that at the park is no good I decided to pack it in. Although it was a lot snappier and louder too muhahaha.

I think I will be going for some new shocks with the gift cert that I got, the stock ones are alright but the ones im looking at have a much smoother action, are adjustable, and more durable. hehe.

I would type more but the rabbit that was sitting on my lap (my bros) just decided he couldnt hold it anymore and uhhhh "soiled" my pants in every way possible lol. Well I needed to do laundry anyways...ya thats it. Later Dayz.
