Say it aint so Bret, say it aint so!

Oh my god, i am in total shock right now as my memories from childhood are shattered to bits.

On my way back from my appointment in Saskatoon last week I heard a radio add for an aladin show that will be coming to stoon sometime in the new year. Bret "The Hitman" Hart was doing th voice for the promo clip, i never really thought anything of it but was curious about how he would be involved. He was my favorite wrestler (still is) and since hes been off the scene for so long I was wondering what he may be up to.

THIS.....This is what he is now up to ...

So after viewing this I wasnt really sure what to think, i mean this man is a wrestling legend. Now why he would do this I have no idea, maybe to entertain crowds once again. I am well aware that he cant wrestle anymore due to his injury and stroke he fought back from. But I am a little disheartened at seeing this, maybe its the inner wrestling fan as a kid looking up to the hitman. Of course its good to see him out in the public again, and a whole new audience of kids will be there to see it.

I dont know it just seems so surreal to me, of course maybe the show will be great. Anything with the hitman surely can be, maybe there should be more musicals with him beating down foolsand putting them in the sharpshooter. I would pay to see that.

Bret Hart as the Genie in Aladdin the musical.

A part of me dies when I see this picture... *weeps softly*

Take care baby, daddy misses you already :(

My car is now at the body shop waiting in line to be repaired, unfortunately the downside (besides not having a car for a week) is that I will have to pay for my deductible. Long story short, my insurance company has been trying to contact theirs and having no luck. This occurred way back in September and there still hasn’t been any contact. Being that winter is here and I would like to avoid rust and such I got the go ahead from my adjuster to take it in to be repaired. I pay the deductible and then get reimbursed once they contact the other company and get the claim information. Being that I was not in the wrong (police report states this much) I double-checked to make sure I would not get some sort of penalty for sending my car in before all has been done with the other company. Another adjuster at the company I am with told me I would not and that was good enough for me.

The timing isn’t that great as the winter season has kicked into full gear as of late and the cold, snowy days just keep on coming. One positive is that my g/f can give me a ride to and from work, a good thing since the body shop didn’t have a loaner car for me to use. There is no way I will pay the rental rates for a car, not around here. I will not pay $80 a day to drive a kia rio, I would rather just try and catch a ride with somebody else.

On a side note, the blogger beta signup thing was really annoying. Just get me to my blog page already...

Nintendo Wii...

So all the new gaming systems are now out and things will be getting interesting in a hurry. I attempted to get a ps3 on launch day but to no avail. Unfortunately to me, and everyone else, there were only 13 consoles available for sale in the whole city. I didn’t actually want one for myself but rather to sell to the eBay crowd for a tidy profit. I may get one down the road, however with the price tag and lack of “must have” games I will wait. More than likely I will find myself getting the Nintendo Wii, the novelty of the controller caught my attention so if the titles are decent I will probably get one. I know the price tag is very nice, that is for sure.

Did some more cleaning and such over the weekend, nothing very interesting in that respect. Although I did have a good freak out and i'm feeling better for it, ever have those times you just want to throw up your hands and just scream? Ya one of those, frustration boiling point and BOOM adult temper tantrum of sorts. At least that is one way of putting it, I think its healthy in most respects as long as you are not hurting yourself of any other living thing. Of course inanimate objects can feel it so smashy smashy.

On my travels through various stores I am noticing the Christmas displays and such becoming more prominent. Now don’t get me wrong I like Christmas as much as the next guy. I mean its one of the largest mish mash of marketing and consumer based holidays around (Mothers Day is #1, a little tidbit of info for you), however seeing these displays slowly creep in from October it seems like these stores ready for xmas all year. Of course hearing the music mid November is way to early, I don’t really care how big of a fan of the season you are.

To shovel or not to shovel, THAT is the question.

More snow and the streets from last night made driving to work an interesting experience, it is fairly safe to say that winter is here and will be sticking around.

The long weekend was great and I wish I was able to have one more day off, I was in the groove and didn’t want to get out. Played plenty of games too which was nice, Gears of War is a must have game in my opinion. From the first moment I chain sawed a guy right in the face with my guns chainsaw bayonet I was in love with this game haha XD

Did some cleaning and reorganizing around the house as well, especially in the office in preparation for the new desk which I believe will be here this coming weekend. In the here and now I will be going to get a new snow shovel today after work, got to get that driveway cleared before the snow packs. Why is it that snow removal is so life threatening? I mean you always hear about people having heart attacks from over exerting themselves removing snow. Personally, I don’t give that much effort into it, as long as its not piled up in the driveway i'm happy. I don’t even need to see all the pavement, i’m just not that dedicated to the cause.

What a week

Friday is here, and it’s been a long week too long in fact. Maybe I just need a vacation.

So I am debating whether or not to cancel my world of warcraft subscription, its starting to seem more like a job playing that game. Since I am paying monthly if I don’t play it feels like I am wasting my cash. Ironic considering I am pretty much wasting my cash to play a video game when I have so many other ones to play anyways that are free to play. The main and really only reason I went back to that game was because my girlfriend enjoyed playing it as well, so it was going to be something we did in our spare time.

At first it was like that but she became a die hard player and being that I was more casual (I don’t like to be on that game for 6 hours a day minimum every day) she would do her stuff with her group of friends and I wasn’t able to keep up. So i'm debating just cancelling it and saving my $20 a month since the original reason I started to play is gone.

Now I just have to figure out a way to get her off the computer and do something else, if you have that much spare time maybe its time to get another job…

Anyways enough of that rant, in other news there is still nothing happening regarding the damage to my car. The people at my insurance company said that the other party has not filed their claim yet and the company cannot get a hold of the person assigned to the other people’s case. So I am sitting in limbo right now waiting to see what will happen. Apparently though on the police report it states that she made a lane change when it was unsafe to do so, so I am in the clear and yet I can’t get my car repaired without paying the deductible.

I’m thinking of just paying it and getting my car fixed since it can take up to 2 years to get this crap settled. What kind of crap is that? I mean 2 damn years!? Plus I seen this really nice car I would be interested in getting but with the damage on mine I don’t see it happening until said damage has been fixed. The story of my life.

I watched Cars last night; I have seen it before so I went and got the DVD. If for some unknown reason you have not seen this run out and rent it right now!

It isnt Friday? Awwwww ,aaaaannn

So my copy of Gears of war is now sitting on my coffee table waiting to be played, I woke up all excited that today was Friday and I have a long weekend of gaming to look forward to. Too bad I came to my senses and realized that it is in fact Thursday, and now my week will feel that much longer. I hate it when that happens, its like when you wake up in the middle of the night thinking you are actually late for work. Its not until you start to put your pants on that you realize it is only 3am and you don’t work till 8:30.

The weather has been a bit better with the lack of wind its almost tolerable, granted the roads are still slick but I am having no problems navigating them. Last December I bought some Goodyear triple treads for my car, one of the best investments I have made. Those tires really make a HUGE difference in how my car operates in winter conditions.

Not too much new really, life moves on as do I. Man I cant believe it isn’t Friday! Gah.

Ugh...stupid cold..stupid cold winter... *grumble* *grumble*

Wow it is slick outside, there was a good amount of freezing rain yesterday night so everything is pretty slick. This would be a clue to maybe slow down and drive safely, but I guess the guy across the street with the off-road equipped truck figured he could still drive as reckless as ever. Watching him fly down the street and try to turn into his driveway only to keep sliding was both funny and sad to watch. Fortunately he didn’t hit any of the vehicles parked on the street.

As I look out the office window I see that the city is putting up the Christmas lights on the trees along the street, the snow is falling, and I wish I could roll the clock back about 3 months weather wise lol. Don’t get me wrong I like Christmas, but its winter and the accompanying weather that I could do without. I figure I have seen enough snow in my lifetime, maybe I should relocate somewhere warmer. Plus I somehow managed to break my antenna off my car this morning as I brushed it off, $60 fix...

In other news 2 of my most anticipated games have shipped, Guitar Hero 2 for the Playstation 2 and Gears of War for the Xbox 360!! I have guitar hero 2 and it rocks! I’m hoping I can snag GOW tomorrow, if not for sure this week. Plus it is a long weekend coming up so I foresee plenty of gaming in my future, plus there are a couple more games coming out that I want to get as well.

Now I just need to work on getting that 60” HDTV for my living room….

Another Friday

Another week down and man is it cold! No snow yet so that is one positive thing to have I suppose.

Well Halloween went off without a hitch, if I had to guess I would say that we had around 40-50 kids show up at our door. I was ready for at least 100-200 kids so needless to say I have a good amount of leftover candy at my disposal. Saw some cool costumes but the cake went to mini vader, the kid must have been like 4 years old and dressed like darth vader haha. I seen some older kids running around towards the end of the night and I dumped a lot of candy with them as I just wanted to move the stock lol.

Watched a couple movies, slither and the omen, both were alright but I don’t really think I will need to watch them again anytime soon.

Been cleaning up the house and getting rid of the last few boxes left from the move as there was nowhere to really put them, so most of the week has been going through that stuff and doing the final keep or chuck list. The new desk that my girlfriends dad is building should be here this weekend I guess which should be pretty cool, I will have to post some pictures. Right now we have our computers on a 1 computer desk so it isn’t very comfortable or practical to use. That desk will go to my bro as he needs a new one and everyone will be happy.

I still haven’t heard anything back from the insurance company of the girl that hit my car, im keeping a log of the times I call my insurance company and what they tell me. I really cant believe things have dragged out this long, I was hoping that my car would be fixed before winter and at this rate it doesn’t seem to be likely.

Well TGIF and all that good stuff, here's hoping for a decent weekend.
