Its been a long time...

Man what a trip, spent the majority of last week visiting various sites under the companies umbrella. Meeting the people, seeing the towns, and doing the help calls, it was a really busy week and if you add on the driving time it makes it that much longer. Probably the coolest part was the trip to Grande Prairie and back, we took the company plane. Now this might not be a big deal to a lot of people, but it was my first trip on a plane ever and it was very sweet. I was lucky enough to get to sit in the co-pilot seat on the way back. Awesome view and I enjoyed every minute of it, it is the best way to travel.

The plane itself was a twin engine 6 passenger plane, nothing super fancy but it was nice.

Over the weekend I managed to start painting my R/C truck body that I purchased in the fall, The final coats went on last night and it looks really good. I am surprised at how well it turned out. Of course before even starting on that I practised on a couple Pepsi bottles that I cut in half since the bottle plastic is close to the body of the truck. I managed to find this chrome sticker that can be used on R/C plane wings and cut pieces to fit various parts on the body to add that little extra. So the door handles, bumper, and hood latches are chromed out. I will take a picture once I put the stickers on it for the various lights and such.

I cant wait until the spring gets here and I will be able to run my R/C truck again, its going to be a blast :D

Gangsta Hamlet Fo' Shizzle m'nizzle

Gangsta Hamlet - this clip is funny as hell! Be sure to pass it on if you enjoy it!

Win a Wii! What do you mean shes dead!?

Man there are some weird stories out there, but this recent one is really out there. I will paste the article I found from cnn.com:

SACRAMENTO, California (AP) -- A woman who competed in a radio station's contest to see how much water she could drink without going to the bathroom died of water intoxication, the coroner's office said Saturday.
Jennifer Strange, 28, was found dead Friday in her suburban Rancho Cordova home hours after taking part in the "Hold Your Wee for a Wii" contest in which KDND 107.9 promised a Nintendo Wii video game system for the winner.
"She said to one of our supervisors that she was on her way home and her head was hurting her real bad," said Laura Rios, one of Strange's co-workers at Radiological Associates of Sacramento. "She was crying, and that was the last that anyone had heard from her."
It was not immediately known how much water Strange consumed.
A preliminary investigation found evidence "consistent with a water intoxication death," said assistant Coroner Ed Smith.
John Geary, vice president and marketing manager for Entercom Sacramento, the station's owner, said station personnel were stunned when they heard of Strange's death.
"We are awaiting information that will help explain how this tragic event occurred," he said.
Initially, contestants were handed 8-ounce bottles of water to drink every 15 minutes.
"They were small little half-pint bottles, so we thought it was going to be easy," said fellow contestant James Ybarra of Woodland. "They told us if you don't feel like you can do this, don't put your health at risk."
Ybarra said he quit after drinking five bottles. "My bladder couldn't handle it anymore," he added.
After he quit, he said, the remaining contestants, including Strange, were given even bigger bottles to drink.
"I was talking to her and she was a nice lady," Ybarra said. "She was telling me about her family and her three kids and how she was doing it for her kids."

There should be limits to certain things; I mean she probably could have bought a wii in a couple weeks from a store without drinking water till she died from it. I wonder how much she actually consumed? It’s a sad thing to see, I feel bad for the family but man that’s too crazy, died from overdosing on water…

Speaking of the Wii, I picked up a new game “Rayman: Raving Rabbids” its basically a bunch of mini games where you use the “wii-mote and nunchuk” to do various things from shooting plungers at attacking rabbids, to a ddr style rhythm game. Overall its very fun and worth checking out if you have a wii, it gives you a good idea of how the controllers can be used. Wii Sports Bowling however still owns my time, this little console is very fun to play.

Nananana Nananana Hey Hey Hey Good bye!

Goodbye Warcraft and the “enjoyment” that goes with it..

Ive decided to cancel my subscription once and for all, with all the grief, loss of cash, and problems with the actual game I have had enough. Paying for something you don’t enjoy is pointless, and quite frankly I have better things to do with my time and cash. I will be pulling the trigger once I get home from work. Some people get hopelessly addicted to games like this and its scary. As soon as a person bases their personal life around a schedule on a game dictated by some 18yr old “guild master”, its time your step back and look at your life and where its going. Maybe re-evaluate what is important to you, and to put important things that are happening in your life behind a video game. Of course spending a minimum of 6 hours a day on WoW is also not a great thing to be doing when there is more productive things that can be done.

Fridaaaaaaay ya!

The battle rages on, me versus the cold and I believe that my forces are beginning to make progress. The severely plugged sinuses are all but a distant memory at this point, however my ears are still slightly plugged as if I was wearing a set of earplugs. Looking around the office its pretty clear that people either are getting, have, or getting over this cold. More than likely I will be good by Monday, just in time to get back to work. At least that is how it always seems to go, healthy for the work week and sick for the weekend.

Speaking of weekends this one should be a gooder, lots of gaming planned for me. I am looking forward to getting more time on the Wii and my various other gaming sources. There will also be a game night either tonight or tomorrow at a friends house, so it should be pretty cool. He was able to pick up a PS3 so that with his 1080p tv and surround sound, things should be that much better gamewise.

This week has seemed to drag on forever, and today is no exception. Lucky for me there are only a couple hours left to go (at the time of this writing) and I can once again return home. I just have to figure out what I want to make for dinner…

Stupid colds... Where is the remedy?

Why is it when somebody gets sick they decide to come to work and tough it out? Do they seem to think that the fellow coworkers will be impressed with their dedication? I mean if the guy is sitting behind a pile of used tissue and on the verge of passing out at his desk, does anyone really think that he is getting a lot of work done?

Not to mention the fact that this genius will more than likely get other people sick and decrease productivity for the company overall. These people need a swift kick to the ass and sent home for being so retarded. Now I am sick thanks to this, but I am in no condition to work so I am at home resting. I want to get better faster, working when I am sick does not help heal.

Plus to top it off I am in the middle of some winter storm so needless to say I wouldnt be going anywhere today even if I could. Man this winter seems to be dragging on forever, I can wait till it is all over with. Maybe I need to move to a warmer, winter-free climate.

Did I mention that in the time I have been home my girlfriend has been home with me as well. Well I mean she is in the house anyways, sitting in front of her computer playing World of Warcraft and talking to people over her internet headset. She lives there, I usually just shut the door to the computer room so I dont have to hear it all day long. Funny, when i do its pretty easy to adjust to her not being here at all. I mean its not like I see her much besides when she comes out to eat, have a smoke, or use the bathroom. The more this goes on, the more I get used to not being around her and shes 10 feet away. Take that for what you will I guess.

Well thats enough for now, Im going to go rest some more. I just wish my sinuses would open or my ears would unplug. It feels like I am sitting under 30 feet of water or something, bleh I hate being sick.
