Logitech Harmony Remote...Where have you BEEN all my life?!

I finally received my new logitech harmony universal remote today, slow ebay shipping sucks when you are impatient like me. Buuut a good deal is hard to pass up.

Anyways I just finished using the software to set it up and now everything is controlled by a single button press. For example, if I want to play my xbox 360 all I have to do now is press the "Play Xbox" button. When I do my tv, stereo, and xbox all turn on. My tv goes to input 4 and the stereo switches to the aux input, all this happens at the same time with a single button press.

How sweet is that?! I have my cable and dvd players set up the same way so now I can just use the single remote rather than juggle 4 of them. I highly recommend grabbing one of these if you have lots of av equipment. There are many models so there should be one that fits your pricepoint.

Holidays are still going good and strong except for the fact that the summer heat has decided to set in. Not necessarily a bad thing, however without any ac of any kind in this house it doesnt take long for it to heat up in here. I guess I really shouldnt complain though, I mean there is only really a couple months of this before things get cold again, so I will try to enjoy the heat. Anything is better than winter.

Thought of the morning: How much would it suck being a garbage man during the hot summer days? I am thinking of this as I watched the garbage get picked up today and the guy looked plenty warm. I admire that, I know i sure as hell would not want to be doing that job on hot days like today.

Oh Holidays how I have missed thee

So I am into my holidays and feeling good, finally starting to catch up on some much needed rest. My little brothers grad went very well, good dinner, good grad movie with the kids, and interesting speeches. Its wierd looking at the grads because I remember back in High School when I worked at the local convienence store and they would come on their bikes to get their treats and slushes. Must have been around 10 years old at that time, and now to come here and see them graduating is an odd experience. We all get older but it doesnt change the fact that its a strange thing to have to blatently displayed in front of you.

Besides that I havent been up to much, I am still at the parents place through the long weekend. After that I will return home to continue my R&R and videogame it up. I am not planning to do much and that is exactly how I like it!
