Holy crap Forza 2 rocks!

I have been wrapped up in Forza 2 for the xbox 360 for the past couple weeks, I am just really into this game. I had my doubts as I didn’t really get into the first forza that much but im hooked on this one. In a nutshell it is a racing simulation game (similar to Gran Turismo if you have played that) where you buy, race, customize, and tune a vehicle. As you progress you unlock more cars and earn more money and discounts on parts and such.

A big part of this game also lies in its custom paint/ vinyl section where you can design paint jobs and vinyls to your hearts content. Now the vinyl patterns are all your basic shapes such as squares, triangles, etc as well as the alphabet in a few fonts and some premades such as flames and such. However the versatility of the tools is nuts. You can resize, skew, rotate, and add levels of transparency to these vinyls and create anything! I have seen some insanely good paint jobs where the vinyls look like an airbrushed painting.

My first attempt was to recreate the local radio station’s car, a black GTO. I spent a Saturday designing and recreating the logos, sponsor logos and such. It turned out really great I think. I sent some photos of it to the goat guys and they added it to their website and all really liked it and thought it was cool as hell. WWW.BORDERROCK.COM and click on the “Caught on Film” link to see it, its under the Goats GTO goes online.

The forza 2 game allows you to upload pictures of your car that you can take in game to their website, from there you can download them. I am keeping a journal of sorts of my paint jobs that I am doing. To see them all click here: http://s211.photobucket.com/albums/bb65/solartwitch/

I made a ninja turtle car and it is one of my favs for sure, I spent at least 20 hours on that paint job and all those details are made using the various shapes all resized and shifted to build what I wanted. I am really hooked on the painting portion of it and you can actually auction your cars through the game as well so other players can buy them and use them on their games. I sold a copy of my turtle car already and a couple others, it is pretty cool.

I am pretty much giving a fast rundown of what this game has to offer, but I highly suggest giving it a look if anything I mentioned caught your attention.

Its been raining like crazy here and I am currently engaged in a battle with the mushroom kingdom in my backyard, these mushroom rings have sprung up like crazy and they just….wont….die….. Ugh.

Ah well at least its not snowing or something bizarre like that, ill take rain anyday.

My little brothers high school grad is coming up and it’s a weird thing to think about, in my head hes still my little 12 yr old brother lol I guess that would be about the age he was when I left to go to college so that could be why. He is actually looking at moving to the city I am currently in (its not a huge place, like 28000 people) so that would be cool. Rollnig off the grad weekend is my first week of holidays and I cant wait! Its been over a year since my last holidays and I am ready. I plan on doing a whole lot of nothing, followed by sleeping and gaming. I will visit my folks through the long weekend/grad weekend and then head home to veg. Good times. I booked another week in the first week of August too, so I will have that to look forward to when I get back from my July holidays haha.

Well that’s about it for now, check out my car pics and if you are interested in getting one of the designs I set up some auctions every day or two so keep an eye out on the auction house!
